Level 3 Inspection, Detailed Non-Destructive Testing, Structural Modelling, Analysis, and Assessment of 6 Concrete Bridges
Project Scope
Level 3 inspection and structural assessment of 6 bridges (Brockley Street Bridge, Goynes Road Bridge, Pearce Street Bridge, Baranduda Blvd Bridge, Belvoir Park Bridge, and John Schubert Drive Bridge). Assessment of the current structural & durability condition, load bearing capacity (Load Rating/Rating Factor), and residual service life of the bridges as well propose repair methodology (method and materials) and structural strengthening with associated costs.
The following tasks were successfully delivered:
- Detailed Visual Inspection
- Preparation of Selected Locations for Tests
- Non-Destructive Testing including: Cover Measurement, Steel Reinforcement Detection, Size, & Arrangement, Ultrasonic Technique, Rebound Hammer, Corrosion Activity Monitoring, and Electrical Resistivity
- Data Analysis
- Structural FE Modelling and Analysis Utilising CSI-SAP2000
- Structural Assessment and Load Rating Factor Calculations
- Repair and Remediation Strategy Recommendations
- Budget Cost Estimations of Repair Operations
