Inspection, Assessment, And Condition Rating Of 145 Km Of Kerbs And Channels (Asset Management Plan)
Project Scope
Inspection, assessment, and condition rating of kerbs and channels in Beechworth, Chiltern, Rutherglen, Barnawartha, Yackandandah, Wahgunyah, Tangambalanga, Kiewa, and Stanley. The inspection was carried out to assess the current condition of the assets and to also predict when the assets will require renewal for the following purposes:
- Accounting for an asset’s value or accumulated depreciation
- Making long-term renewal cost forecasts for inclusion in the Council’s long-term financial plan
- Developing and confirming shorter term capital works renewal programs
The following tasks were carried out:
- Detailed Inspection based on the 0 to 10 condition rating system
- Providing a list of “Isolated Failure” associated with detail photos
- Estimated value of the kerb segment
- Predicted the end of the kerb segment service life
- Updating the Council’s Asset Management System
Kerbs construction materials were varied such as granite stones, bricks, concrete open drain, concrete plinth, and concrete semi mountable.
