- Utilized SPACEGASS finite element software to model the affected area, including beams, slabs, and columns.
- Applied dead loads, live loads, wind loads, and earthquake actions as per Australian Standards AS 1170, AS 3600, and AS 4100.
- Evaluated the strength and deflection of structural components under applied loads.
- Verified compliance with Australian Steel and Concrete Design Standards.
- Assessed the structural impact of removing walls, columns, and beams as per the concept design.
- Confirmed that only partition walls would be removed, ensuring no structural compromise.
- Designed shoring or bracing systems if additional support was needed during demolition.
- Ensured the safety and stability of the shopping centre during regeneration, allowing demolition works to proceed without compromising the structure.
