PROJECT SCOPE:
- Conduct visual inspections of key structural components, including deck slabs, abutments, piers, girders, and culverts.
- Identify structural defects, including cracking, spalling, corrosion, and material degradation.
- Assess waterways, approach surfaces, and drainage conditions to ensure proper functionality.
- Document issues such as rotting timber, corroded steel reinforcement, concrete cracks, and water infiltration.
- Evaluate environmental risks, including vegetation overgrowth and soil erosion, and their impact on structural stability.
- Verify compliance with AS 5100 Bridge Design Standards and relevant local council regulations.
- Assess guardrail spacing, bridge barriers, and pedestrian safety features.
- Develop repair strategies, including joint sealing, concrete patching, timber/steel component replacement, and corrosion protection.
- Recommend waterway clearance, surface restoration, and enhanced drainage solutions.
